KMS Picture Day 8/26/10

On August 19, 2010, 6th grade orientation will begin at 6 p.m. with a general meeting in the auditorium.
At 7:30 p.m. 7th & 8th graders will report to their assigned classroom to receive schedules. Lists will be posted at KMS. All families grades 6-8 are welcome to stop by the cafe for refreshments and browse the community fair in the gym. Open house & schedule pick up will conclude at 8:30 p.m.

Thursday, May 27 is the KMS Awards Assembly. It will be streamed live on http://www.ustream.tv/channel/kcskms at 8:30 am. Please join us then or watch later online.

We will accept any last minute orders for this year’s yearbook through Tuesday, June 1. Soft cover yearbooks are $18.00 and hard cover are $22.00. Both come with the students name and photo on the personalized cover. They make a great 8th Grade Promotion gift.

We will be streaming this year’s KMS Talent Show live. Please join us after 8:15 am at KMS Talent Show

The 8th grade promotion ceremony will still be held on May 28th in the KMS auditorium at 1:00 p.m.

There will be a meeting for this year’s DC Trip on Wednesday, April 21 at 6 pm in the KMS Auditorium. We will be handing out student handbooks and going over expectations for the trip with students and parents. You will receive a finalized itinerary for the trip so you will know our whereabouts at all times. We will be collecting emergency medical forms and will have a person available to notarize these forms during the first 15 minutes of the meeting. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting.

Orders for KMS yearbooks will be taken until Friday, March 12. The yearbooks are available in soft cover and hard cover. Soft cover costs $18.00 and hard cover costs $22.00. Both come personalized with the student’s name and photo.

There is a donation program for anyone interested in paying for a yearbook to be given to a student who cannot afford to buy his or her own. Please contact KMS for more details.

There are still some copies of last year’s 2008-09 yearbook available to buy. Cost is $10.00 for soft cover only. See Mrs. Hughes in Room 29 to buy one.
