Tag: GeneralDarren Gilbert @ 12:56 pm

KMS 8th graders will be taking its annual trip from May 15th to May 20th.  To help you and your child in preparation a summary of departure, packing suggestions are included as well as a PDF with the list of daily activities and sites the students will visit.  To find the itinerary, please click here

Assembly and Departure:

1.  Students will assemble in the KMS gymnasium between 8:20 pm and 8:45 pm on Tuesday:  May 15, 2012.  At 8:45 pm students, faculty, and chaperones will  start to load buses with departure time set at 9:00 pm.  Please don’t arrive prior to 8:20 pm.

  • Parents may drop off students at the gymnasium entrance at back of KMS.  Please do not park in the staff parking lot (south side of Robinson Football Field).  This area has been reserved for the charter buses for both pick up and drop off.  If you choose to do so, you may walk out to the parking lot to see your child off.
  • Students should report to their chaperone groups in the gymnasium to collect their luggage tags, t-shirt, and for attendance.  No student will be able to board a bus until the assigned chaperone grants permission.

Packing Reminders:

1.  Students are limited to one suitcase (placed under the bus) and one

small carry-on.  The carry-on bag must fit above the seat in the overhead

storage compartment while travel occurs.  Please do not make your carry-on

a over-sized duffle bag.  One of medium size should work fine.

2.  You may bring a pillow and a blanket for the bus ride.

3.  MP3 players, ipods, ipads, and hand-held devices/games are permitted with

headphones only.  No boom boxes or laptops.

4.  Pack anything that you will need for Wednesday in your carry-on bag.  Your

suitcase will be packed under the bus Tuesday night and you will not have access

again until Wednesday evening at the hotel.

-  As for monies, it is suggested that each student have a $25.00 daily

spending limit.  If you are using traveling checks, make sure that you have

a valid Ohio I.D. so you can cash them at the hotel.
